Vision:
Well into the 21st Century, our vision will be the touchstone to guide impending regional growth.
We look into the future with optimism realizing that the continued creation and strengthening of partnerships between various sectors and communities, creating employment opportunities for our residents, and creating economic diversity will be cornerstones for our growth.
The Prairie to Pine Region will have become an environment in which investment and Small Business Loans Association entrepreneurship can grow and diversify. The image we can and do portray both Provincially and globally is that of a region that is an outstanding place to live, work, and visit.
The region will have developed a skilled and adaptable workforce that addresses the needs of industry, in particular oil and gas.
Using the Trans Canada Trails project as a catalyst for growth and development, there will be an enhanced regional tourism and hospitality sector. The region will be firmly established as a recognized tourism destination area. Protecting and preserving our natural environment will assist us in making decisions related to balancing the need for industrial and commercial growth that will ensure the environmental sustainability of all sectors.
There will be a close working relationship between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal communities within the region that will identify and build on areas for co-operation and expansion from a business and cultural perspective.
Values:
The Prairie to Pine REDA will be a volunteer driven organization focusing on the needs of the membership. The REDA will be adaptable, proactive and fiscally responsible.
Mission:
The purpose of the Prairie to Pine REDA is to promote a climate that will enhance the quality of life of its residents and encourage economic development in the region through the co-ordination of resources and services that will meet the needs of our communities.
